Tr. pl. in 49. See MRR 2.258. Despite the claim in Schol. Bern. (ed. Usener, p. 97) that this Cotta was a tribune and colleague of Metellus, J. L. Ferrary holds that there was no such tribune and that Cotta was the senior senator and censorius L. Aurelius Cotta (102). Cos. 65 (Mel. Heurgon 1.285-292).
